Dallas/Carolina
Dallas is a primarly a defensively focused team. After being outshot last game a typical defensively tight road game is what I expect here. Carolina played tight against the Caps yesterday and fell short in the shootout. They also allowed a ton of shots against in that matchup.I like the goalie matchup and think both will play tight tonight, Carolina averages 3 goals total in the 2nd of back to backs.

Edmonton/Ottawa
Edmonton is 6-3 over when away and off a loss so far this season. On one days rest they allow 4 and average 2 themselves for a total of 6. I watched Ottawa play the Pens hard as hell the other day and playing that intensity against the Edmonton squad should prove successful....at least in goals. Neither teams goaltending has been fa from perfect and Martin gets his 2nd start in the NHL tonight for the Oil. I like both teams to cover the over easily tonight.

Fair to say this is the coldest I have been all season. I think Im 2-5 in my last 7 posted. Not to mention I lost the Lions yesterday which I obviously regretted even betting. Then that loss scared my off the Jets play I liked so much. Sometimes this shits easy and sometimes you feel like your against the current. I'm hoping to rectify the weeks record over the next 3 days starting here.

Colorado is 0-2 on zero rest after a win and 1-3 when the next game is on the road. Colorado definitely played the Rangers hard last night. Looking at this game initially I see a very strong Blues team that has been playing well recently and looking for their 8th straight game. Columbus has looked good defensively this year but coming off a loss to Minnesota 4 days ago. At home and coming off of three days rest, the Jackets should be the more rested team. Previously before the Minnesota loss the Jackets posted 2 straight shutouts. While the Blues could continue their streak tonight the recent travel could be the single factor that the Jackets get the edge in this one. Line has dropped from -120 to -115, yet 68% of incoming action is on the Blues. Taking the homers tonight.

Florida/Carolina Under 5.5 - These two just put up 11 goals tonight and Florida rattled off over 50 shots in the last 2 games. The Canes just beat the Isles 7-2 in their game Wed. night. Yet the line opens at 5.5 -120. Vokoun pulled after 2 quick goals last night but he gets the nod tonight I think he will definitely be looking to put in a solid effort on the road. If Clemmy gets the start I like this play the same. He looked good last night and would rise to the occasion as well.

Carolina had a very good game against the struggling Isles last game and won 7-2. Florida has struggled lately and lost their last game against Atlanta 3-4. The still managed to put up 55 shots on Atlanta in the losing effort. The home team is 37-14-4  in the last 55 and the fav and 22-5 in the last 27. I like the most disciplined team in the league today at home. Looking for Vokoun to be strong tonight as well. The Canes haven't won 2 straight this year and they are 0-4 in their last 4 after a win.
